Iceland continued...
Loved the old colourful buildings and listening to the Icelandic language. Went out to dinner on the 2nd night to something a little more modern (without the whale/puffin) and ending up sitting next to the Mayor and his school friend who is a muso in one of Icelands most popular and longest standing bands Studman (pronounced Stuthman). Was pretty impressed to have met Icelandic celebrities on our 2nd day in the country.
Checked out the Culture House and saw the original old manuscripts of the Viking Sagas which I loved!
Then headed to the famous Blue lagoon thermal spas where the water is naturally incredibly blue and you can slop clay over yourself as a beauty treatment. The water makes your skin feel fantastic and your hair look n feel like hay afterwards. They cleverly had a bar at the pool so sat in the steaming water and drank beer. Felt very "holiday" treat-ish!

The horses are round, comfortable and energetic doing a fast 'armchair rocking' almost trot which they're famous for. After riding went to the Allthing (first Icelandic viking parliament where they decided which men should be be-headed and which women drowned... ) and then to Gullfoss waterfall, which featured lots of rainbows over the water. Got to see a giant glacier from the distance which was still impressive.
Then headed out to see the bubbling volcanic geysers which erupted approx every 5 minutes. Was exciting to wait with camera in hand hoping to catch the moment!

Hi Ann, do you have any other pictures from your horse ride?
Did the horses wear nosebands?
Judy
I noticed that your horse doesn't have a noseband on.
